The McIntosh MC275 Vacuum Tube Amplifier is a classic piece of audio equipment that has stood the test of time. Originally released in 1961, it became a favorite among audiophiles for its ability to drive power-hungry speakers with impressive power and low distortion levels. The MC275 was discontinued in 1971, but it was brought back into production in 1993 as a special edition to honor McIntosh co-founder Gordon Gow. Today, it is in its sixth generation and boasts numerous enhancements that have improved its performance.

The MC275 can be used in either stereo or mono mode, delivering 75 watts per channel in stereo mode and 150 watts in mono mode to speakers with impedances of 4, 8, or 16 ohms. Its patented Unity Coupling Circuit output transformer technology allows it to deliver full power regardless of speaker impedance, while its fuse-less Sentry Monitor™ short-circuit protection keeps it running smoothly. The amplifier also has both balanced and unbalanced inputs, LED-illuminated tubes to indicate its status, and Power Control technology for seamless integration with other McIntosh components.

Whether you're an audiophile looking for a classic piece of equipment or just want to add some vintage charm to your home audio setup, the McIntosh MC275 Vacuum Tube Amplifier is an excellent choice. With its rich history and impressive performance, it is sure to become a cornerstone of your home audio system.
